R4 Incorporated is Awarded $38 Million Army Contract

Logistics and training organization provides soldiers with total training solutions

January 3, 2008—Eatontown, New Jersey—R4 Incorporated (R4), a defense service company which provides total training solutions to U.S. Army soldiers, was awarded a $38 million Project Manager Close Combat Systems (PMCCS) contract for the PM IED Defeat/Protect Force (PM IEDD/PF) under the Rapid Response contract from the Department of the Army. R4 provides quick-reaction, rapid-response training support to legacy, interim and future systems that help their primary customers—U.S. soldiers.

R4 will assist PM IED/PF in their mission to provide IED defeat systems that will help analyze, detect and neutralize the IED threat.

“The R4 mission is soldier survivability, so we are anxious to work with the Army to identify and locate IED defeat products that will help our forces meet the unfamiliar challenges posed by today’s emerging security environment,” said R4 President David Lewis. “As legendary General George S. Patton once said, ‘Only a soldier and their enemies understand the capability of a soldier’. R4 remains committed to keeping our soldiers safe and doing everything possible to stay steps ahead of our enemies.”
